Each year during the spring board meeting, the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists selects the annual recipient of the Johnnie Rosell Nurse Anesthesia Education Grant. This grant was established by the Arkansas Associaton of Nurse Anesthetists in 1988. The purpose of this grant is to aid an Arkansas resident who is completing his/her final year of nurse anesthesia education. The recipient must plan to practice nurse anesthesia in the state of Arkansas after graduation. The grant provides him/her with $500.00 to help pay for tuition and expenses. The deadline for submission is March 1st. Please contact the Chair of the Scholarship Committee.
The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Foundation Student Scholarship Program has several scholarships that are available to all nurse anesthesia students. Each scholarship has special eligibility requirements. The AANA Foundation Scholarship Program has about thiry different scholarships. Many award financial assistance to more that one recipient. The scholarships range in amount from $1000 to $2500. The deadline for the AANA Foundation Scholarship Rrogram is April 15th.
